'83 GTI also had the famous "mini-slip". It has stiffer springs to keep the
drive flanges from coming lose. It also acts like a limited slip differental.
But only the us 83's. I'm putting one in my '81 S. Get all the linkage also.
You can use the 4-spd shifter, but need everything else with the 5speed. Good
