Re: 2.0 conversion



It's not the extra lift that is the problem, rather it is the extra overlap
that usually goes hand in hand with extra lift.  A blown car with a big cam
with lots of duration and overlap (the period of time when both valves are
open) will end up shooting a large amount of that high velocity/highly
compressed air/fuel mixture right out the exhaust valve.  Kinda renders your
super/turbo-charger somewhat useless.

ahh good eyes, yes I do believe it is not recommended you go above a
260 on a blown engine for best all around performance. I know of a
G60 owner with a 268 and he says it's fine, but stepping up to a 270
might burt the engine more than you think.
