Re: SIGNING OFF, PRICKS

To John,

I don't think that you should have to leave. I think that for the most
part, we understand that this list is getting a little busier than usual
with alot of nonsense topics. I have been around this list for nearly two
years and I have learned a lot about VWs (not only Scirocco's mind you).
Initially, I literally knew nothing about cars and now...I have prepped and
painted a VW, and I am in the process of swapping a fuel inj. engine into a
vehicle which possessed a carbed (65hp) engine. Life is a learning process
and I owe, and I think that every one should, this list all my gratitude.
BTW, thanks to this list, I have refused to go back to a mechanic. In
fact, if I remember correctly, wasn't it you John who refused to go to a
technician, mechanic, whatever, to get your new motor running. On a
personal level, I ascribed to that sentiment and hence, I am in the process
of swapping a motor albeit most mechanics said that it would be too
difficult for me to do alone. Thanks for the motivation.

I think that you have done a fabulous, magnificent, etc. job to your MK1.
I aspire to your work as I will attempt to do the same next summer with my
MK1 (ok, maybe not the same motor, but regardless). I think that for the
most part, many of us on the list used your help and greatly appreciate it.
GL and hopefully you can still be a helpful hand around here.

Regards,

Sal

P.S. - does your keyboard have a Delete button. Mine does, and I think I
need to replace it with a new one due to overuse.
