engine swap

Very easy, (assuming CIS injection to CIS injection as in the U.S.)

I dropped a 1985 JH motor into my 1980 Scirocco rustbucket earlier this
decade. You have to change a few hoses but that's about it - I used the
intake and exhaust manifold from the 1980 engine.

How difficult would it be to swap out a newer Scirocco engine to fit an
older Scirocco body?
Like an 86 engine in an 81 body?

Thanks
