Re: Poly Strut Mounts

I can't answer your question but I have another one : )
People are ALWAYS talking about the upper front strut bearings- what's the
deal with them? I've never really noticed a problem with mine, and I live on a
dirt road with lots of potholes. I've also owned 10 VW's. Am I just ignorant to
the problem? Will I install new upper strut bearings and suddenly discover that
there was something wrong with my car that wasn't before? What does the car do
that's bad when the upper strut bearings are bad?
Oh I actually can answer your question. About upper strut bearings. People
say to get the early Rabbit style ones. They're cone-shaped and evidently they
never ever wear out.
