Glad to hear it! And welcome to big 24 hour Scirocco party.
Comemoritive pins are available in the gift shop. :-)

I don't think you'll have a hard time convincing people here of that.
I ought to dump out my latest drive shaft story here...does anyone know
what happens when you have a fatal brain fade, and stick 100mm CV's
into a 90mm hub and then try and move the car? Well, it's exciting! And
you get a free day off work to put it right!! Everyone should try it
sometime. :)

Yeah, I grew up in a town where people thought shopping at Ames was a good
idea too...Anyone ever heard of Livonia, Conesus, Geneseo, Lakeville in
upstate NY? A bit rural if you know what I mean.

I've had a 79 too...and a 78...and an 80, and another 79, and another 80...
Love the MK1's, no doubt.

Cool! I didn't get hip to VW's until highscool...like 1983-84 or so.
Did your parents ever own any VW's? My kids are either going to own
nothing but VW's (currently we have 6) or I'm in for a total Chevy
backlash...

Does it still move under it's own power? Then it's a collector! Keep the
MK1's alive!

You have certainly come to the right place. We've got a certifiable lot
of Scirocco enthusiasts here. Enjoy!
