     I had a similar problem once myself... It was a bad fuel pump. I had about
five different "vw experts" tell me the either work or they don't and there was no
in between. This turned out to be complete bullsh*t and after $30 bucks and  a
trip to the wrecking yard I never had another problem.. You might want to jump
your fuel pump relay and see how well the injectors spray with them out of the
engine, mine would intermittently stop altogether for a split second or two. Hope
