there isn't really much you can do to stop the leak except replace the 
rack.  It's a real pain.  Trying to rebuild the rack yourself is not 
advised as the chances of it not leaking are bad.  I purchased a rebuilt 
rack for something like $250.  I can't remember.  Removing the old one 
and putting the new one in is no cakewalk either.  One quick look 
underneath and you will see that you need to remove exhaust and 
suspension components.  You definitely need a lift to do this one.  It 
took my VW factory-trained mechanics four hours to replace mine!  GL!!

Re PS problems- mine leaks like a friggin sieve- how about a quart of 
fluid
every 10-14 days??
