In the context of a 79-

Large pair of needle nose or other large, long pliers.
Something like vicegrips, not to grip but as a fulcri\um to lever off of.

Place the vicegrips on top of the valve cover with one hand in line with the
engine. Grip the injector itself, not the hose, with the needlenose pliers,
resting it on the vicegrips. Lever the injector out and towards the back.

You should be able to tell the difference between a hard injector ring and a
soft one as the rock around. Hard to describe except that it feels like the o-
ring is en extension of the injector, if new they feel separate and 'cushy'.
Trouble is they don't feel that way for too long but work OK when just a
little stiff. Replace em on general principal.
