The last time I bought tools at Sears, they still honored the Craftsman
guarantee. However Sears also had started carrying a Sears brand of tools
that did not have the guarantee. These other tools are cheap made in China
crap. I bought a set of pliers because I was in desperate need of a set.
The stuff breaks way too easily, as has been my experience with pretty much
all made in China or Taiwan tools. They also seemed to be made with much
less precision, so that wrenches are more likely to round bolt heads, etc.
