YES!

I had one on my 1981S! They are usually in better shape since diesel
exhaust is not as hot as the gas motors.

You will need a downpipe equiped with an 02 sensor mount though.

   I was out hiking yesterday when I came across a field with four
dead diesel Rabbits.  Three out of four of them have the 4-2 exhaust
manifolds.  Heck two of them are sitting on the front seats.  So the
big question is will they fit on my Scirocco? I'd love to get rid if
the 4-1 manifold that is on there.

I'm not sure what year the cars were, probably 80-83?, two had FF
transmissions.  They guy who owns the stuff says he isn't sure what
years they are, people just drop off old cars there.  He wants a
couple of bucks and I can take as much crap as I want off the cars.
