RE: Re: real muscle

FWIW, the 924 2.0 is a POS. It is an old Audi truck motor.

One of the coolest Porsche to VW engine transplants I've heard about is
the 3.0 litre 911SC powerplant
dumped into a Vanagon Syncro. Talk about a big, square Carrera 4!
On to Sciroccos: I have been becoming increasingly curious after hearing
about all these bolt-in (more-or-
less) motor swaps: We had one person a few weeks ago talking about
installing a Porsche 924 2-litre into
his VW. If this is possible, do you all think a 944 powerplant would fit
(I know, its tranny/transaxle system is
totally different, among other things)? If maybe, then would the 3.0
litre, light alloy, Vario-Cam 968 4-banger
fit? Now that might be exciting! (if it worked)
