Re: 82' Scirocco (1.7l) stuttering a bit...



The JH has 90bhp stock, but it's easy to mod. The 1.7 is hard to get more power
out of (although it can be done). The throttle body is the same as from any
Golf or Jetta 8v. You just have to swap some linkage over and machine away some
of your intake to port-match it. It will bolt right up.
The GTI's had the single outlet manifold, which sucks. If your 1.7 has the
dual-outlet setup (some did, some didn't), then use it. It's much better.
