Stereo problems

I tried installing my new clarion cd deck in my 87 Scirocco 16v last
night. It worked except for the following problems. Which wire is the
ignition wire? My fan, and some lights stopped working. Is it a fuse, or
maybe a wire (ground) got knocked off back behind the stereo. Which
wire? Please help.
