Re[2]: Police cars--A must read.

The latest and greatest here in Ontario seems to be the speed traps on the 401,
between Toronto and Montreal. There are normally one or two cops up on some
rocks or behind trees that gun you down and radio ahead to a "fleet" of troupers
(literally, 4-5 cars) waiting almost roadblock style.

Cars are pretty easy to spot, always Crown Vics and the odd Camaro. The Crowns
vics have the extra sway bar on the bottom AND the rear lights are a little
different, they have a black plastic strip between the lights and the read plate
on either side, haven't noticed that on other Crown Vics. *shrug*

Now that I got my clutch replaced, I'm only at 2700rpm at 140km, I don't even
realise how fast I'm going most times.

Here in Maine, the state police have finally decided to be sneaky. They've
got Crown Vics in all different colors. There is usually at least one
antenna and a cell antenana on them. They have no visible lights but when
they light up you see they are hidden in the grill and are what you just
thought were speakers on the rear parcel shelf. They have a little sign
that flips up in the rear window that says "state police". They also got
rid of their station wagons which were for commercial vehicle patrol and
weighing. They were replaced by blue Dodge Ram 4x4 with a light bar on top.
These guys can pull you over too, but they are usually watching the
tractor-trailers.
