I have one of these Mounted on the passenger side. Works great. (Until
some buttnutt decided to try and shove a Big Gulp in there. Dumbass...)
It does wear out and break. Being carefull with it is the key in having
one last. (Im on my second on in the Scirocco and the first one in the
Jetta is already destroyed.) 
Held my Starbucks coffee solid while I autoxed too! Didnt spill a drop
either. Drive as spirited as you like with this cup holder!
