I once tried to give away a car (not a VW). I had blown the head gasket - a
fairly simple fix on this particular beast, but I didn't have the time to do
it.

I spent 3 months trying to give it away - even to people I knew who desperately
needed a car. No luck.

In the end, I decided to sell it. It was gone within 24 hours.
