I believe there's a 115 amp unit on an Alfa 164 that will fit the 16v ONLY
with no problems.  This conversion has been discussed on the ng as well as
in one of the letters to EC (maybe 3, 4 months ago? Don't recall).  This
thing is BIG BUCKS from the Alfa dealer though, $300+US, but if you can
find one in a yard then hats off!  The other option is to take a 90A alt
and have it rewound to about 100A.  At the same time you should get an
adjustable regulator - depending on your battery you can adjust it to
charge at 14.5 or more volts, as opposed to 13.8 or so.  A decent auto
electrical shop should be able to do this job for like 100 bucks.
