If its a 82- model, there are two metal clips on either side of the
headlight switch. These have to be pushed in to get the switch out. You can
push in one, then you will be able to push that side of the switch out.
Then push in the other. The several times I've replaced these switches,
I've always done it by coming in from the bottom of the dash. But someone
else here has mentioned that its possible to remove the black instrument
panel bezel and get at it from there. If so, it'd be a lot easier to see
what you're doing. Taking a screwdriver to the front can easily bend the
plastic or put some scrapes in it if you're not careful.
