How does the car look? Is it clean, waxed? How does the interior look? IS
it vacuumed clean ect? How does the engine look? Is it clean? Have you
detailed the whole car? If not, DO IT, it will sell.
Ive sold 2 junkers in my life that werent worth $250 each and I got $900
for one and $600 for the other. How did I get so much for them, simple, I
detailed the hell out of both cars. People will buy a clean car and pay
more money for it than a grease pit. I could of gotten more for the
Datsun I sold but it had cob webs all over the back of the car and it had
been sitting for 4 months and was dirty. I washed it for them and they
were very pleased with it and I have even seen it driving twice since!
(He pulled out in front of me the first time! The jerk.)

Also the area where you live could be a reason why its not selling.
How are you advertising it? Paper? Auto Trader?
All I did was put a red for sale sign in the window and parked it where
passing traffic could see it.
I wasn't in any hurry to sell it so I didn't put it in any of the papers.
>From what I have gathered from others who have sold cars, simply taking
out an add in the local paper was more than enough to sell their cars
within $100 of the asking price.
That first car I sold was my sister in laws car. She wanted to get $400
for it if possible and the first day she had the car in the paper we had
5 calls before 9:am! The first guy that came by offered $900 and we sold
it. (I should of gotten a sellers fee!)
HTH!
