actually, your buddy paid too much.  your car had a nice motor, but the
interior was marginal, and didn't contain some original pieces.  body
was marginal as well.  $1000 asking price for a parts car was just too
high.

p.s. i got the parts i needed for less than $350, and they were in
better shape.  
p.s. i'll be on the streets by the end of the month.
