Hot Blooded Boat



I got something for all you resident genuises to chew on. Here the
skinny
I have a 87 16V, 181,000mi;

Hot Blooded
1.coolant temp gauge cruising around town frequently pegs, especially if
left to idle for more than a minute
2.Oil temp follows the coolant needle respectivly, 110-115, highway
cruising at 60MPH 100 degrees
3.expansion tank leaks coolant through temp sending unit plug, Could the
lack of pressure cause the overheat?
4.coolant has been flushed and changed back to specs, no difference in
temps
5.on extended highway cruising 60MPH when coasting down in fifth when
RPM drops below 2100 RPM pressure light and buzzer come to life and stay
on till throttle is goosed up to 3000 grand. Then the buzzer comes on
anytime the car is kept at 2-2300 rpm for extended periods(oil temp
100-105 degrees)
6.20W50 synthetic blend, no oil is burned and is always full till change
at 4-5000 miles


Boat
1.car has very loud oscillating rumble at any speed, bearinglike rumble.
2.Bearings changed awhile back, when they went bad they made a different
noise.No play in the wheel now.
3.No play in CV joints, boots intact
4.Quite a bit of movement in the strut tower, possible strut bearing
bad? If so why would sound like a "turning or rotating noise"?
5.At 90-115 car seem to get twitchy and floats, more so than before.
6.The floating also seems to be originating from the left side, same as
the rumble.

I plan on replacing struts tomorrow with new bearings and mounting
plates also.Any help would of course be appreciated then printed and
prayed to nightly.
