Re: Fuel filters...

Hello all,

The fuel accumulator seal in my '78 failed after 6 years. I barely made it
home from work, about 12 miles, on 1/2 tank of gas. The gas escaping through
the vents from both sides of the rear accumulator screw left a trail behind
the car for miles.

I cut a small piece of plastic (fuel proof) to fabricate a seal for the
vents in the accumulator and used the accumulator screw to hold it in place.
The car ran fine without the accumulator functioning.
