VR-6 Technical questions

A local independent shop came to me with a question about a VR-6 
Jetta. It was hit in the front then repaired "Correctly." Now it 
pulls dangerously to the right under hard acceleration in 2nd gear, 
and stops when the throttle is lifted.
     They say the alignment... are perfect. I thought that I remember 
these cars had / have a limited slip / traction control. Is any of 
this true, and could it be a broken limited slip sending all the 
power to the left front wheel only? Which type of LSD is it...
     Any help would be appreciated.
