If you feel the car handles better with the front bar unhooked, 
remove the bar.  Everyone has a different driving style.  If the car 
is neutral without the bar, take it out.  Sounds to me like you made 
the car too stiff, causing the understeer.

I had the same problem when I built mine.  I know run teh Tockikos at 
the "1" setting to soften the suspension.  At "3" or "5" settings, 
the car literally hopps around corners because it is just too stiff.
