No air filter?!?!? Open the boot to your throttle body and check for
blockage. Also, remove the boot to the air meter and clean the entire thing
under and on top with 2+2, or preferably air intake cleaner. If yours has
the screen in the boot above the air meter, remove it and clean that also.

You may want to check your mixture, injector spray pattern, and fuel
pressure. Also, run a couple bottles of lubrimoly injector cleaner and/or
valve cleaner through. They should help clear things up. After running the
cleaners through, I suggest one bottle of each on two separate tankfills,
change your oil and filter. The oil is going to pick up alot of the gunk
removed from the system. 

Last, does your main pump or transfer pump make any noises? Does the fuel
cut out on sharp turns or uphill climbs?
