On  16V I think there are 2 of them. (?) What do I know, im a 8V kinda
guy..
Your thermostat is located in the housing where the lower radiator hose
goes into the block. 
(Am I right 16V dudes?)

Sure you do. don't you? Is there a black cap on the overflow res?? That's
where your radiator cap goes. I think on you 16V drivers you also got a
cool little warning flag about HOT and PRESSURE or something under the
cap too, right?
