That  could have been my page.
 The Ace of  Diamonds or  " Asso di Quadri". was a design study sponsered
by Karmann for BMW in1976 and was very close to the Scirocco.  Some thought
the design was stolen.  This was the design that was used to start the
Scirocco 2 project. The Scirocco 2 is significantly more round than the BMW
and its side view reflects a radically different concept in packaging, a
real 2+2. GG had been consulting with VW on facelifts. VW created there
version with G.G.'s help but the MK2 is a VW Design.  The Scirocco design
had fixed proportions on paper by Giugiaro. 

The Impulse or Piazza is the "Ase of Clubs".
