FWIW, I've never had cornering result in oil lights coming on. My oil
light came on for the first time about 2 years ago, I was going skiing - 20
minutes at high rpm/load, get to the top, 5th gear at 2000 rpm, coasting,
it came on. Eek. Did it again under similar conditions - high load
followed by virtually none. Hot oil. I bought a pressure gauge for mine
to make sure nothing was wrong, as nothing seemed wrong. Pressure is fine,
lowish at idle (800rpm) when hot (120degrees C), but at 2000 rpm hot, it is
well within spec. I am guessing that it is some sort of electrical glitch
or somehow, the pressure at the filter is low when hot/no load, yet
sufficient at the head. The idiot light sender is at the filter, the gauge
on the head. So, I don't worry about it, the engine has good pressure, and
these engines are known to have trouble with these lights doig odd things.

Not if the oil is warm. I've run mine up past 7k a few times, revlimiter
is at 7200rpm. 16vs rev even higher, hell, the 1.8 16v does'nt make power
until 4500 anyway! Get the oil warm, run it to 7k, you'll be impressed.
Cool engines to rev out.

Put a pressure gauge on it, see what it says - I just bought a VDO gauge
and sender, it is nice to have a pressure gauge to look at, as opposed to
wondering. I think total cost was around $100 for gauge, sender, wire &
connectors & other stuff I needed. Pretty easy.

Sunroofs are out of my league.....best of luck!
