I've got the same problem (due to lousy repairs after a recent theft) and
I think the only solution is to take the whole thing off, clean all the
adhesive, then stick it back to the door with the proper double sided
tape. I think somebody mentioned a tape made by 3M - just make sure it's
STRONG.
