I have an 88 JH from a Cabriolet in mine, and I have the same thing coming out between the 3rd and 4th injector (or is it 1st and 2nd? Hmmmm...) anyhow, I have just capped it with a vaccuum cap, and haven't had any problems... 

Dunno what it was for...

I was curious if anyone has a hose coming out of between the fuel 
injectors.  I have a 84 JH and there IS a oil (for lack of a better 
term) hose coming from between the first and second fuel injector.  
Josh has a 83 JH and he has no such hose.  I also have a 1.6 and does 
not have a hose.  BUT a friend of mine with a 84 GTI has the hose.  
This really doesn't pose much of a problem because I will just buy 
the GTI parts to fit it in my mk1 scirocco.  But it bothers me what 
the hell it is.  Does anyone have an idea?
