rocco trim

I hate getting wax on the black trim on the body.  It's white and makes
it look like crap.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Oh yeah, if I
were patient and skilled enough in the first place, I wouldn't ask. 
I've even considered taking the trim off.  Has anyone done that?  What
do you think of the way it looks?  Thanks.
