Its a 4x6 speaker at all 4 locations. I've seen people put 6x9s in the
stock location in the back, but they do stick out a good bit more. I got
some Boston Acoustic 4x6s all the way around and am pretty happy with them.
BA is a very good name in speakers if you're not familiar with them. They
were only $70/pr, which was less than the Alpines I saw, and the BAs are a
better brand IMHO. I used them for a long time with the stock head unit,
and they sounded great, just not too loud, as the stock head unit didn't
put out enough power. This weekend, I installed an Alpine CD player with
35WX4 channels, which gives a bit more power, and now they really sound
awesome. A 6x9 will have a bit more bass response, but the BA 4x6s are not
bad. Just make sure if you get replacement 4x6s, that you get one that is
"metric". They have slightly different placement on the mounting holes.
Standard ones are a real hassle to fit, metric ones drop in no problem.
