When we remove the our tank last weekend, we pulled the exhaust and
lowered the rear axle a few inches. We didn't have to disconnect any
brake lines, though. It will slide right out, but it helps to have
two people because it is cumbersome.
Be careful putting the four nuts back on the axle bolts. They're not
as strong as you think..... yeah, I broke one off.... welders are your
friend :-)
