        Hate to say it, but I grabbed the strut shaft with a Vise Grip
through the spring and put an impact wrench to that sucker.  It worked.  At
any rate that it what the garage does anyway.  Of course, i was replacing my
struts and didn't care what happened to the strut shaft.
