Re: Cams

I've been real happy with my Hor Tech Sport cam for Solid lifters,
not to be mistaken for a G-grind. This cam does require the stiffer springs
as the lift exceeds .43" of lift (.436" to be exact, with 243ƒ rotation at
.050" check clearance) The cam has been well behaved, no idle problems and
really takes off after 4 grand. Of course I do have the K&N, larger
throttle body, ported intake manifold, ported head, ported exhaust manifold,
dual outlet downpipe, and autotech sport exhaust. It makes a nice
combination. I haven't swisscheesed my airbox, but that hot air hose is
gone and the box is open there. I also replaced my breather tube on the
valve cover with a tiny K&N filter and plugged the hole on the airbox, it's
supposed to be worth 1-2 hp. You should note that I do drive a lot at the
upper ends of the RPM spectrum, but the car behaves well at low RPM and even
makes a neat noise. As far as the sound at upper RPM's, ask Chris.
