Thank you for the prompt reponding to my message. IF they are forged,
that is really a good price. I am going to try the stock 10:1 8v
pistons . How? I met this guy whow has a 2.0L VW 16v inside a toyota
starlet with a celica transmission, and I don't know what else which is
running 10.3sec in the 1/4 mile. He told me that if I take the factory
8v 10:1 pistons and notch them exactly as the 16v's for valve clearance,
I will have an 8:1 16v engine. And that with stock rings and a good head
gasket that I could run 18psi safely. If that doesn't work, then I call
you and beg you for pistons. Thanks again for being so responsive.

p.s. if you don't beleive wha this guy says, you can see him and his
cars in Caribbean raceway Park in Carolina, Puerto Rico. I've seen more
than 10 VW's (all models) with turbos (mostly 8V's, from 1.6L to 2.0L))
in Puerto Rico. And all of them are fast. All custom made; only a few
are ND's or callaway's.
