I got 3 words for you.
FERODO FERODO FERODO!

I cant believe you haven't called Velocity yet? You live close enough to
visit. Go have a chat with Jeff Moss, he will hook you up with a set. You
will like them much better over stock pads. (Or call the Potterman. He
can get them for you for about the same price as what Velocity sells
them.)
Also change your brake fluid to Castrol GTLMA. Its a DOT 4 fluid that ive
yet to get brake fade even with my fluid getting old. (about due for my
yearly brake fluid change.)
You could get SS brake lines. Its not as easy as you might think to swap
out the rear lines. Basically your gonna need to drop the rear axle. to
get the old stuff out and the new stuff in. WELL, I mean, its not
terribly difficult, just somewhat involved is all.

If you do all od that and set the pads right it should become noticeably
better the next time you drive the car. (Id say give the brakes a good
week of driving before they are 110% effective.)
HTH!
