[Oil Leak, Update]

Hey guys! Thanks for all of your suggestions.

84 8v wolfs.

Upon closer inspection the oil sender was not leaking, bone dry. However,
just for kicks, I decided to play w/ the distributor... and the hold-down
bolt came loose with almost no effort. It seems the distrib was
sufficiently loose, and had been for some time, enough to appartently spit
oil out at high speeds, as well as show wear on the mounting and bracket
surfaces....ADDITIONALLY, there is no gasket between the block/distrib,
which should be there according to bentley... if I remember correctly.

Note, I do hit speeds of 100mph probably at least twice a week when I'm on
the I-state. Has anyone had these distributor probs? It seems that if
spinning fast enough, and wobbling around, it could squirt out bits of oil
over time. My oil leak coated the entire front of the lower block, and
produced a few drips -- nothing megalithic as a gulping leak.

Thanks again!!

~C

ps. on a side note.. are there any enhancements that could be made to the
distrib that would result in any increased performance??
