Control arms $47 new  Bushings (to tighten) $20 for all. Ball joints $16
(need 2) 

$200 labor to replace arms, bushings and ball joints. ($100 per side)


he said the the alternator is attached to the car tightly and it's going
to eventually shake very annoyingly.  

Have him loosen it. $10

Timing belt replacement.

Belt $20 labor $150

Muffler $20 depending on where you get it.  $20 labor at muffler shop.


This all seems to be in the $500 dollar range.  Can you itemize his
estimate and show us why this should cost $1000-$1500?  I really want to
help.
