[g60] Will a G60 cam work in a 1.8 8v JH?

will a stock g60 SOHC('90) work/do any good in a 1.8L 8v JH('86).
It's in a Cab. so I assume the JH to be solid lifter. Anyway to tell 
exactly if the engine is solid or hyd besides taking the cover off 
and actually looking at the setup?
