Was your steering wheel vibrating like a cheezy Niagra Falls motel bed or
were your symptoms more like clunking noises over speed bumps? Seems
bizarre that a component so far removed from the steering shaft would be
the culprit. >>
Yes!.....Anything over 40 mph gave me the shimmyshakes and it was horrible on
any kind of bump. Clunkety clunk clunk. I was convinced that it was the inner
tierod and then I thought it was one of the steering column joints and then I
thought it was the motor mounts I had just replaced last winter when I did the
tranny. Now it's super smooth all the way up to 120. Woo Hoo. Now if I
could just get another new set so I can put my Neuspeed springs and Koni's on
I'd be set. That's next weekend. :-)
