I had to go out to the car to double check.  I have a bunch of wires under
the dash on the passenger side.  They go to my cruise control...  It says
cruise in german on it.  I followed the wires and they do go to the turn
signal/cruise lever.  

I also have ran into the problem with CVs.  I replaced all my boots.  I have
the larger cv's.  Why I have no idea but they are there.
