Re: Any Current cars that feel like Sciroccos?

Well if you do not mind something larger, An Audi Coupe Quattro 90, or
A4, not only has the German feel, but quite frankly smokes the
Scirocco in handling. The Quattro system is like a cat with claws.
In a corner if you begin to break appling full throttle will usually
pull you where you want to go. It also makes winter driving an
absolute enjoyment. I usually take the heaviest snow covered roads or
when they stay off the roads for an advisory I go out on them.

Honestly though, when I bought my 90 Quattro 20v it had shitty 175
70r14 LEE GT no name tires on it. The car stock with those shitty
tires out handled my 87 Scirocco 16v with the usuall suspension mods,
Bilstien, Dunlop SP8000's, All the Nuespeed sways, custom camber, etc.

The only advantage the VW's have are the size for tight Auto-X, but if
spirited street driving is all you are looking for they are great
     cars.

My wife is the primary driver of the car, and wants a Boxster or Z3 so
we are selling the Audi if anyone is interested.

Well at some point we all need to face it. Our Sciroccos are aging.
Time, weather, lack of time for maintnance, other crappy drivers
are all taking their toll on our beloved cars.

So I asked myself, Are there any modern cars they feel like my
my scirocco does? I love mine for the balls-to-the-wall handling.
Thing can 90degree corner at 50+! What a car...

Maybe the last gen Mr2s ? Audi doesn't make the big-ass scirocco (coupe)
any more so thats out, what all the other manufacturers?

Any one have some thoughts? At some point mine and yours will be gone.
Whether its the 70 yr. old lady thats blindside ya as happed to a friend,
or you've rebuilt the entire engine AGAIN... At some point it will be
new toy time.

Damn I hate to admit it, but I haven't driven anything that feels
quite like it...
