Installing OEM Driving Lamp Switch

I have an OEM driving lamp switch that i would like to install into my
'88 16v, along with some lamps (tbd).  I've heard that the switch
installation is somewhat difficult.  Has anyone done this?  Can you
enlighten me as to how to do it?
