OK, from what you say of this ker-klunk, id say its your upper strut 
bearings. Its pretty common. They do go bad after a few years. It takes 
a little longer to where they sound like 2-3 silver dollars jingling. 
And it only happens on fairly sharp bumps? The speed doesnt matter, 
only the slower speeds allow you to hear it more noticably, right? Like 
you, I climbed all over my suspension tightening everything, brake 
calipars, rotors, suspension bolts, I mean everything! Thats was until 
the Potterman told me what was wrong. (You would be supprised and, 
maybe even a little sickened even of the things hes got inside his 
head!) Now im wiser to it and hopefully, you will find the problem now?
