Normally, id say, "YA, go race it, you CANT hurt the car on the Autox course"!
That was until the last time we had a saturday practice / sunday race. I cant
recall the guys name, he has a blue Scirocco with the 16V body kit. (RD motor)
Anyway, somehow he got sideways through a slalom section where they used these
HUGE cones. He hit right behind the passenger side front wheel and busted the
hell out of the side kirt. (Those of you who are looking for these 16V kits know
how hard these are getting to be to find.)
Sunday he came back and I asked him if he was going to race? He said, "nope. Not
gonna do it". Wouldnt be prudent kinda thing. This was his second time comming
out to race and I believe it was his last. I'll find out next race if he's
scared off or not. I hate to see it happen to a fellow Scirocco owner.
(Especially since there are so few of us at the track to begin with!)

I think a Scirocco (A-1, whathaveyou) can be setup to oversteer. (slip) A good
example of this is the Pottermans Scirocco. It oversteers like a mad dog if you
set it up to that extreme. (it can and has been done in his car.) The problem
is, its not controlable! This is the contributing factor to having "usable
oversteer", or Scary-as-shit-oh-my-gawd-werent-we-just-comming-from-there",
oversteer. Thats the difference alrighty!
