Re: Audi engine options

The VR6 CAN be fit inside aScirocco, but you gotta call RPI (ron's Parts) in
Canada (their phone # is always on European Car magazine). I know they have
put a VR6 on a Rabbit, so it should fit the Scirocco too :) THat car should
perform amazingly with the VR6 powerplant. see ya!

yeah, you *CAN* fit the engine but it'll upset the balance of the car. that's
a lot of weight to put way up front like that. keep in mind also that the
Rabbit has a lot more hood clearance than the Sciroccos do. I say go with a
relatively light powerplant like a 2.0 16v. or if max power (and a much more
complicated/expensive install) is more your style, do the G60.

keep in mind that Shawn from Ron's Parts is basically a god in the tuning
business. just because the parts fit theoretically, doesn't mean it is a wise
choice for a project.
