RE: Tail lights - could be fog lights

Time out here. Can someone please enlighten me as to what the hell a 'rear
fog light' is? I'm thoroughly confused! I have a fog light switch on my
dash, but I assumed it was for the front fog lights which some idiot
removed, but the mounts are still there).

As far as I know, European cars come equipped with rear fog lights. This
light, usually on one side, is bright enough to be seen through adverse
weather conditions, like fog and rain. Most of the newer VW have a ghost
position on the fog light switch that is actually for the rear fog light.
All you need to do is wire up the light in the back. If what we are
suggesting is true, all the tail lights have the fog lights built in. Its
just a matter of wiring them up

I saw this on a Porsche in Italy. If you've seen the parking practices of
Europeans in the cities, you'll see that this is very important.
