Re: Shocks/springs

Does anybody in the group have any experience of plastic suspension bushes ?

I have some free play in one of my front wishbone bushes, and I'm considering
swapping out the standard rubber bushes for urethane items. They're supposed to
improve steering feel and reduce torque steer (not a problem with 90bhp!),
camber changes etc, but what do they do to the ride quality ? British roads are
notorious for their crap quality, so the last thing I need is to be feeling
every bump and rut on the road.

Just so those of you with alignment problems don't feel left out - I'm a
sufferer too !

My car runs straight and true, but when I come off the accelerator pedal
sharply, the car pulls to the left. Any ideas ? I intend to get a full 4 wheel
alignment done, but I'm wondering if something in the front suspension is worn
and is compressing as a result of weight transference when I come off the gas.
The car has done 64,000 and is still on the original shocks and springs (I
dream of Konis and Eibachs......)

Hope you can help,

Sean Conway (1990 GT2)
